Robert

Implants and Crowns at Missing Laterals

Robert was genetically missing his upper lateral incisors and wanted a permanent, and natural-looking result. He had braces with an orthodontist to straighten his teeth, and to make the proper space for the lateral teeth.

After braces, Robert saw Dr. Jason Tubo to have his dental implants placed and restored. Dr. Tubo planned the entire surgery on the 3D X-ray, placed the implants, and ultimately restored the implants with permanent abutments and crowns.

Robert wanted a result that looked natural, and he liked the appearance of the white spots on his natural teeth. These spots were artistically recreated using layered porcelain crowns, in collaboration with master ceramic technicians.

Broken Tooth

This patient’s front tooth was fractured years before. Other dentists had attempted to treat the tooth with root canals and fillings, but infection remained and the tooth continued to discolor and darken.

He wanted the final result to look natural, and didn’t want a removable front tooth, so he came to see Dr. Jason Tubo for a dental implant.

Dr. Tubo designed the surgery using 3D X-ray technology, placed the implant, and restored the implant with an abutment post and crown – giving a true-to-life result.

The finished result looks, feels, works, and flosses just like a natural tooth!

Kathy

Kathy had three broken back teeth that were going to be lost, so she saw Dr. Jason Tubo to have dental implants placed.

Dr. Tubo showed Kathy what else was possible for her smile with modern materials, and intelligent planning – and Kathy chose to have all of her upper teeth restored.

Using 3D X-rays and “computer-guided implant surgery,” Dr. Tubo placed her implants, made long-term temporaries, and restored the upper and lower teeth with layered crowns and veneers.

The result: Now Kathy has the big bright smile that matches her personality!

Lexi

An Alternative to Dental Implants

Lexi was genetically missing her upper lateral incisor tooth, and wanted to have a dental implant done to replace it. At 16 years old though, Lexi could have to wait another 4-5 years before an implant could be placed (since implants should only be done on patients who have been done growing for one year).

She had a bonded temporary tooth that kept falling out, so she came to see Dr. Jason Tubo to find out what her options were. Dr. Tubo explained that aside from being 16, there was little room for doing an implant anyway, and that she might not be happy with the way the gum tissue would look afterwards.

Dr. Tubo showed Lexi and her family her other options, and suggested a type of very conservative bridge called a “pin-assisted cantilevered Maryland bridge”. This kind of restoration requires very precise planning, and is a modern twist on some very classical dental materials including gold and ceramic. The result is highly esthetic, stable, and minimally invasive – and can be done for someone like Lexi, even in her teenage years!
