Kate

Two-Implant Lower “Over-Denture”

Kate had worn an upper complete denture for many years, but enough had started to change and break down with the lower teeth that the time had come to discuss a lower complete denture as well.

Kate knew that traditional lower dentures are loose and are difficult to function with, so she elected to have two implants placed in the lower jaw to give her lower denture something to “snap” onto.

Dr. Jason Tubo designed and placed Kate’s dental implants, and they chose to make new upper and lower dentures to improve the overall fit and appearance.

The result: Kate has a brighter, more youthful smile again that functions dramatically better than classical removable dentures. The final dentures are still removable, and need to be taken out each night.

Regina

Upper and Lower Implant Over-Dentures

Regina had severe periodontal problems, resulting in her needing to go to complete dentures.

She came to see Dr. Jason Tubo because she knew that she wanted dental implants to be a part of her treatment plan – she just didn’t know what all of her options were.

After discussing the options of removable versus non-removable solutions, the treatment times, and the costs, Regina decided that the right choice for her was a removable upper denture held in with four implants, and a removable lower denture held in by two implants.

It was important to Regina that the roof of her mouth not be covered, so the upper implants were an absolute must for her!

Dawn

Four-Implant Lower Over-Denture

Dawn had worn and discolored dentures that did not fit her well. Her bite looked collapsed, and her lips and cheeks were not well supported by her existing dentures, making her smile look “sunken in”.

Dawn wanted implants for her lower denture, but she had been told by previous dentists that “implants weren’t possible” for her. She was told that she did not have enough bone, so she came to see Dr. Jason Tubo about her options.

Dr. Tubo showed her that by using 3D X-rays and Computer-Guided Surgery techniques, implants could be precisely planned – even in areas with very little bone. They decided to make new upper and lower dentures, with the proper height to her bite, so that her smile looks brighter, more open, and so that Dawn’s lips and cheeks would be better supported and look more full.
